New in Townsend!

Now Available: Affordable Homeownership in Townsend, Delaware’s Historic Old Town

Interfaith Community Housing of Delaware is proud to announce the first completed home in a transformative 13-home affordable housing development in Townsend, Delaware.

Located on Gray Street in the town’s historic “Old Town” neighborhood, this beautifully built three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath residence is the result of six years of collaboration between ICHDE, New Castle County, and local leaders.

Each home in this thoughtfully planned development will be sold to income-qualified buyers earning 80% or less of the area median income, offering working families the chance to build wealth and stability through homeownership.

This project turns the page on years of vacancy and neglect in Old Town, replacing blighted properties with energy-efficient, high-quality homes designed for modern family living. With a $2.8 million investment in federal HOME funds and the tireless efforts of local government, nonprofit partners, and dedicated builders, this neighborhood is coming back to life—one home at a time.

If you’re ready to say goodbye to renting and start your journey toward homeownership, contact us today to learn more or schedule a tour.
